The English Language

The English language now is the best language for the 750mln. people. Except the United Kingdom there are some other countries in the world where people speak English. Every seventh person in the world speaks English. There are many reasons for it’s popularity, some of them I will tell you now: It becomes a language of a planet; it is the main language of sport, business and science; It is one of the richest languages; There are many borrowings from English in other languages; English is the world computer language; ? of the world’s mail are in English. People must learn English because people who know verbs: to get on, to get along with and so on idioms. Everybody will laugh on you if you use old-fashioned idioms. Intonation. English intonation is awful! It is far more difficult than learning idioms or phrasal verbs. If you get intonation wrong people laugh on you. People who know English have a better job opportunities. You must know English if you want to go to the English speaking country.
Nowadays English is very popular in Russia, but so many children says that it is boring. I think that it is not very difficult to have only amusing lessons in the school. The most problems of learners English are: Phrasal verbs, idioms and intonation. So one of the problems are phrasal. If you use wrong phrasal people think you’re rude. Reading is very helpful for learning English, watching English TV programs is useful too. Practice helps to memorize the words. I have no problem learning words if they are connected with my hobby. You must practice grammar together with vocabulary. English is the greatest language in the world.
