Usage of English language in India
In India people speak more than thirty different languages and two thousand dialects. There are two state languages, Hindi and English, in India. Besides ther is an official list of twenty two languages, which can be used by the goverment of Indian states for different administrative aims. It was planned that in 1965 English would lose the status as state language and would be called as additional state language untill people used Hindi in full scale way. However with the protests of some states, where Hindi wasnt spread, the situation was saved, when both language were state.
